According to the Meteorological Department report, a drop of 0.3 degrees was recorded in the average minimum temperature of the state on Thursday. Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti district, was the coldest place, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 1.7 degrees Celsius. Last night the minimum temperature in Keylong was 4 degrees Celsius. The mercury was 4.2 degrees Celsius in Kukumseri of Lahaul-Spiti district, 5.5 degrees Celsius in Kalpa of Kinnaur and 7.1 degrees Celsius in Samdho.

Kangra and Sundernagar became colder than Shimla.

The effect of cold is also being seen in the plain areas of the state. The situation is that the nights of Kangra and Sundernagar have become colder than Shimla. Similarly, Solan and Palampur are also feeling colder than Shimla. The minimum temperature in Shimla on Thursday was 14 degrees Celsius, while it was 13 degrees in Kangra, 11.6 degrees Celsius in Sundernagar, 13.5 degrees in Palampur and 12.8 degrees Celsius in Solan.

There will be no significant change in the maximum temperature during this period, but due to the drop in the minimum temperature, the effect of cold will increase at nights.
