This gram flour sherbet or gram flour drink is an age-old healthy recipe to avoid cold and cough.
Gram flour is rich in anti-oxidants. This clears phlegm and provides relief from cold and cough.
Made from jaggery, gram flour, black pepper and cardamom, this drink helps in clearing blocked nose.
This drink is also beneficial if you are having trouble breathing due to chest tightness.
Black pepper has anti-bacterial properties. It protects the body from infection. It is also beneficial in providing relief from cold and cough. Jaggery is hot. It keeps the body warm from inside.

Make this desi drink at home to avoid allergies

  • Material
  • Desi Ghee – 3/4 cup
  • Gram flour – 3/4 cup
  • Jaggery – 1 tablespoon
  • Water – 3 cups
  • Cardamom – 2
  • Black pepper – 4
  • Almonds – 4 (finely chopped)
  • Method
  • Fry the gram flour well in ghee.
  • When its color starts changing, add water to it.
  • – Now add jaggery, black pepper, cardamom and almonds and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Your healthy drink is ready.
