Cockroach found in food packet of India train, IRCTC gave this answer

After finding cockroaches in ice cream, frogs in wafer packets and blades in flight food, now a case of cockroaches being found in train food has come to light. This case is of Indian Railways' premium train Vande Bharat Express. Actually, a couple in Bhopal to Agra train alleged that cockroaches were found in the food served by IRCTC. Now IRCTC has apologized on the couple's complaint.

A user on the social networking site X has complained that cockroaches were found in the food served to his relatives in the Vande Bharat Express train. He has written in his complaint that, 'On 18-06-24, my uncle and aunt were travelling from Bhopal to Agra by Vande Bharat Express. They found cockroaches in the food provided by IRCTC. Please take strict action against the seller and ensure that this does not happen again. He has also tagged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Ministry of Railways in his post.

IRCTC apologized

Now two days after the post was shared, IRCTC has apologized and said that a fine has been imposed against the service provider. IRCTC said in its post, “Sir, we apologize for your experience.” The matter has been taken seriously and appropriate fines have been imposed on the concerned service provider. We have also intensified logistics monitoring. The official Twitter account of the railway service has also responded to the post.

Let us tell you that this is not the first time that insects etc. have been found in train food, even before this many such cases have come to light in which questions have been raised on the food service of the railways. In February also, a person had made a similar complaint when he found a dead cockroach in the food served in the Vande Bharat train. Earlier in January also, a complaint was received regarding the food in the Vande Bharat train going from Delhi to Varanasi.

Recently, a passenger on a flight from Bangalore to San Francisco complained about finding a blade in his food. Air India also apologized for keeping things like blades and offered a business class ticket. However, the passenger refused to take it.
