Four criminals riding a Scorpio kidnapped coal businessman Ranjit Sharma (35) and his four-year-old son Rishabh near Kurchi turn in Govindpur police station area of Dhanbad district on Saturday. Ranjit had gone to Govindpur market with his son at 9 am. They were returning home after getting the wheat grinded. During this time, the criminals stopped their motorcycle and kidnapped the father and son. After this, they fled towards Govindpur. Police is investigating the matter.
Ranjit Sharma has been living with his family in a house built at Kurchi Mod for the last four years. Earlier they used to live in Police Line Dhanbad. These people are basically from Gaya in Bihar. Ranjit Sharma works in coal business by associating with a coal businessman of Jharia. In this regard, Ranjit Sharma's wife Rani Sharma has given a written report of the kidnapping of her husband and son in Govindpur police station. DSP Shankar Kamati and Police Inspector Ravikant Prasad went to the Kurchi Mod spot and investigated the matter. Police officials also took the statement of his wife and his mother Kamli Devi. Ranjit Sharma's father Naresh Sharma does small jobs in Jharia.
