CM Yogi's strict order! Shopkeepers on the Kanwar Yatra route will have to write their names outside their shops

In UP, shopkeepers will be required to write the name and identity of the owner outside the shops on the route of Kavad Yatra. UP CM Yogi gave this order on Friday. The government says that this decision has been taken to maintain the sanctity of the faith of the pilgrims. Apart from this, action will also be taken against those selling products without Halal certification.

Let us tell you that this decision was first taken by Muzaffarnagar police and then the DIG of Saharanpur division issued an order that all shopkeepers of Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur will have to put name plates outside their shops. However, when the controversy in this matter increased, Muzaffarnagar police withdrew its decision. But now this order has been issued by CM Yogi.

Muzaffarnagar Police Chief Abhishek Singh said on Monday that preparations for the month of Saawan have begun in the district. About 240 km of the Kannada Yatra route falls in the district. All the eateries on the route, including hotels, dhabas and carts, have been asked to display the names of their owners or those working at these shops. He said this has been done to ensure that there are no law and order problems.

Let us tell you that devotees of Lord Shiva go on Kanwar Yatra every year. This holy pilgrimage starts in the month of Sawan. In this journey, the Kanwariyas wear saffron clothes and do this journey. This year this holy pilgrimage is starting from 22 July 2024. Special arrangements are being made in UP and Uttarakhand for this journey.
