CM Yogi's big order regarding farmers, give compensation for crops within 24 hours

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to conduct a survey in the state from late Friday night to compensate for the damage caused to the crops of Annadata farmers due to bad weather, strong wind and hailstorm. He has ordered all the District Magistrates, SDMs and Tehsildars to immediately conduct a survey on the spot and provide the details to the concerned department, so that the compensation amount can be sent to the accounts of the food providers within 24 hours. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also ordered to provide financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the victims of loss of life due to lightning. Nine people have lost their lives in the state due to lightning. There is news of one death each in Lakhimpurkhiri, Hardoi, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Maharajganj, Kaushambi, Banda, Gonda and Ayodhya.

Do not be careless in paying compensation

Not only this, CM Yogi has instructed the officers not to be negligent in giving compensation. He said that if negligence of any officer comes to light, strict action will be taken against him. Let us tell you that till March 2, 7020 farmers from 50 districts have applied for compensation for damaged crops. In comparison, survey work of 2681 applications has been completed while survey of 4339 applications is being done on war footing. In view of the bad weather, applications for compensation for damaged crops may increase further. After completion of the survey, compensation for crop loss will be given from the insurance companies as well as the revenue department.

The relief department has issued an alert in view of the bad weather and has appealed to the people to come out of their homes only for essential work. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Principal Secretary Revenue P. Guru Prasad has instructed all the District Magistrates, SDMs and Tehsildars of the state to conduct a survey on the spot to compensate the farmers for the loss of crops due to hailstorm. , Also, instructions have been given to upload the survey report on the department's portal as soon as possible. Maximum 1256 farmers of Hamirpur in the state have applied for compensation for damaged crops. Similarly, 997 farmers from Jalaun, 969 from Mirzapur, 812 from Lalitpur, 650 from Jhansi and 580 from Banda have applied for compensation for damaged crops, while more than 100 farmers from half a dozen districts have applied for compensation. Compensation is given only to those farmers whose crops are damaged by more than 33 percent due to floods, hailstorms and unseasonal rains.

Alert issued regarding bad weather

In view of the bad weather, the relief department has issued an alert. The department has predicted wind speed of 40-60 kmph with hailstorm at many places in Amethi, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Barabanki, Gonda, Hardoi, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Shravasti, Sitapur and Unnao in the next 3 hours. In such a situation, the department has appealed to the people to come out of their homes only when absolutely necessary so that any kind of loss of life can be avoided.
