Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on this Sunday, i.e. on 27 April, one of the most ambitious projects in the state, is going to the field to see the progress of the construction work of Ganga Expressway. CM Yogi will visit Hardoi, Shahjahanpur and Hapur districts during this period and inspect the work going on in different parts of the expressway.

It is being told that the construction of Ganga Expressway is going on at a fast pace, in which skilled engineers and technicians with modern machines and new technology are gathering day and night. CM Yogi will reach Jalalabad in Shahjahanpur and see the ground reality and take stock of the preparations. The Yogi government wants to complete this huge project as soon as possible, so that the people of the state can get the benefit of better connectivity.

What is the purpose of CM Yogi’s visit?

Chief Minister Yogi’s main objective of visiting these three districts – Hardoi, Shahjahanpur and Hapur – is to understand the real situation of expressway construction. Let us tell you that the Ganga Expressway is divided into three main parts: Hardoi (151.7 km), Hardoi to Unnao (155.7 km) and Unnao to Prayagraj (157 km). This expressway is being built of 6 lanes, which can be increased to 8 lanes in future. This visit of CM Yogi will emphasize on further speeding up, maintaining the quality of work and completing the project within the stipulated time. Administrative officials and concerned engineers have been instructed to be ready with all the necessary information regarding the tour.

Special inspection of airstrip in Shahjahanpur

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also reach Shahjahanpur today, where he will specially inspect the 3 km long airstrip on the Ganga Expressway. This airstrip is quite important from a strategic point of view. The special thing is that the Indian Air Force has also started its practice on this airstrip, which will run from 26 April to 5 May. In this episode, on May 2 and 3, the fighter aircraft of the Air Force will practice landing and ‘Touch and Go’ on this airstrip.

The Chief Minister will land on the helipad near Piru village in Jalalabad area at around 12:05 pm today and then go to inspect the airstrip. In view of his visit, the district administration has completed all preparations and strict security arrangements have been made.

Know the complete program of CM Yogi (April 27)

  • 10:35 am: Departure from Lucknow.

  • 11:05 am to 11:25 am: Inspection of the construction of Ganga Expressway in Bilgram, Hardoi.

  • 12:05 pm: Expressway construction work and airstrip inspection at Jalalabad, Shahjahanpur.

  • 1:35 pm: Review of expressway construction work in Alamnagar Bangar, Garhmukteshwar, Hapur.

It is worth noting that this Ganga Expressway being built by Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) will be about 600 km long and will connect the western part of the state (Meerut) directly to the eastern part (Prayagraj).

CM Yogi can also come on May 2, Air Force practice continues

SDM Durgesh Yadav of Jalalabad has told that Chief Minister Yogi can again come to Shahjahanpur on May 2. In fact, on May 2 and 3, the Indian Air Force Expressway is going to practice an important practice of landing the aircraft on the airstrip (between ruins and Chamarpur Kalan). For this, the Air Force will take this entire area under its control from Sunday itself. During the practice, the five-kilometer radius of the airstrip has been declared ‘No-Flying Zone’. That is, during this time there will be a complete ban on flying drones, paraglider, hot air balloon or any kind of light aircraft. The police administration has been instructed to keep a strict monitoring in the area and take immediate action against those who break the rules.
