The administration and police departments in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh were fully prepared to conduct this holy festival of Independence Day in a peaceful, safe and grand manner. Heavy police forces, PAC and paramilitary forces were deployed in sensitive and crowded areas in all major cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur and Meerut, including the capital Lucknow.
