In information given to an English newspaper, CM Mann said that he wants to catch a flight to Paris on the night of August 3 so that he can reach on time for the Indian hockey team's match. Bhagwant Mann said that there are a large number of Punjabi players in the hockey team. And to encourage the team, CM Mann wants to go to Paris to watch the Olympics.
At present to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Political clearance is awaited from the Ministry of External Affairs, which is a mandatory condition for the visit of top-level political leaders.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said Sharing the information, he said, 'I want to encourage the team. At least 19 out of 22 players are from Punjab. I am proud of my boys and I know that my presence will be a proof of this.
“This means I can get a French visa in record time. But my officers have been waiting for hours at the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi for political clearance. There are days left for my flight and the process is still not complete,” he said. The chief minister is planning to take his wife and two officers along with him.
