Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and senior leaders will sit on a mass fast today in Khatkar, Punjab. Today, on April 7, AAP leaders and workers will go on a hunger strike across the country in protest against the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal. The Chief Minister of Punjab, all the leaders and MLAs will reach Khatkar Kalan and after paying tribute to the martyrs, they will start a mass fast.
CM Bhagwant Mann and MP Sandeep Path also held rallies in Moga and Jalandhar of Punjab on Saturday. In which he has asked the volunteers to reach Khatkar tomorrow in maximum numbers. Along with this, the volunteers who cannot reach Khatkar tomorrow have been requested to reach the district office. Aam Aadmi Party will also observe mass fast in every district. This mass fast is in protest against the ED action against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders. The fast will last from 11 am to 5 pm. ED said that AAP has committed the crime of money laundering through Kejriwal. In the Goa Assembly elections 2022, the party had spent about Rs 45 crore in the liquor scam. These crimes come under Section 70 of PMLA 2002.
According to Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi convenor Gopal Rai, AAP MLAs, ministers, MPs, councilors and officials will gather in Bhagat Singh's village Khatkharaklan and observe a mass fast with the public. People will bless Kejriwal by keeping a collective fast in the capitals, district and block headquarters, villages and towns of 25 states of the country including UP, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu. Apart from India, people will also fast in many other foreign cities including America's New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Canada's Toronto, Australia's Melbourne, Britain's London.
