Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today expressed grief over the demise of renowned industrialist Ratan Tata (86), who breathed his last in Mumbai late on Wednesday evening.

In his condolence message, the Chief Minister remembered the incomparable contribution of Ratan Tata in starting a new era of industrial development in the country. He praised Ratan Tata for making Tata Sons a 'global powerhouse', which also accelerated the pace of industrial development in the country. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Ratan Tata's hard work, commitment, dedicated spirit and simplicity will always inspire the young generation to make a place in the field of their choice.

The Chief Minister said that the death of great industrial giants is the end of an era as their departure has created a void which will be very difficult to fill in the future. He said that the entire country is shocked by the demise of the eminent businessman who played an important role in taking the industrial development to new heights in modern India.

Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones and prayed to God to rest the departed soul at his feet and give him the strength to bear this hour of grief.
