Helicopter service for Kedarnath has been started in Uttarakhand from today. The special thing is that this time the fare has been reduced by 25 percent.
Helicopter service is starting in Kedarnath from today, which devotees can now take advantage of. Apart from this, the helicopter fare has also been reduced. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Kedar Valley yesterday and conducted an aerial survey of the area affected by heavy rains. After this, he held a review meeting with the officials and gave them necessary instructions.
Helicopter fares reduced
During this, the Chief Minister said that from Wednesday, i.e. 7th August, helicopter service will be started for Kedarnath Yatra at 25 percent less fare. Along with this, special attention is also being given to starting the padyatra soon. He said that the Uttarakhand state government will get the benefit of the discount given on helicopter tickets.
A review meeting was held
After reaching Sonprayag on Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took stock of all the sections connected to the Yatra route and inquired about the damage caused by the rain. He also inquired about the efforts being made by the departments to restart the Kedarnath Dham Yatra.
Many roads are closed
The CM further said that the Gaurikund-Kedarnath walking route has been completely destroyed at 29 places. Apart from this, the Rudraprayag-Gaurikund National Highway has also suffered a lot of damage. Heavy rains in the area have caused extensive damage to power and water lines as well as government properties, which should be repaired as soon as possible.
