Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has stirred up a fresh controversy by making a shocking claim. He on Wednesday accused the previous YSR Congress government of using substandard ingredients and animal fat in making laddus at the famous Tirupati temple during its tenure.

“Use of animal fat instead of ghee in Prasad”

Chandrababu Naidu said he was shocked to learn that the Jagan administration has used animal fat instead of ghee in Tirupati Prasad. Shame on those who could not respect the religious sentiments of crores of devotees.

Laddu is offered in Tirupati temple

Tirupati Laddu is offered at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati. The temple is managed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). Chandrababu Naidu made this claim while addressing the NDA Legislature Party meeting. Chief Minister Naidu said that now pure ghee is being used, which has improved the quality.

Congress reacted to Naidu's allegations

At the same time, YSR Congress has reacted to these allegations of Chandrababu Naidu. Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP YV Subba Reddy accused Naidu of harming the sanctity of Tirupati temple. Reddy wrote on social media that he will make allegations.

“Ready to take oath before God”

He further said, “It has been proved once again that Chandrababu Naidu can stoop to any level for political gains. To strengthen the faith of devotees, I vow to take Tirumala 'prasad' before the Lord along with my family. What is Chandrababu Naidu ready to do with his family?
