After the stormy batting of Meghraja in the whole of Gujarat in the month of August, the intensity of rain has reduced in September. It has been raining in many parts of the state for the last few days. Even today, about 3.5 inches of rain has occurred in about 85 talukas of the state.
According to the data released by the Gandhinagar-based State Emergency Operations Center, Dhanera in Banaskantha district received the highest rainfall of 82 mm (3.23 inches) today. Apart from this, Dhansura in Aravali received 40 mm (1.57 inches), Mehsana received 36 mm (1.42 inches), Garudeshwar in Narmada received 34 mm (1.34 inches), Shehra in Panchmahal received 32 mm of rain. (1.26 inch), Virpur in Mahisagar received 32 mm (1.26 inch), Morvahdaf in Panchmahal received 30 mm (1.18 inch), Valia in Bharuch received 30 mm (1.18 inch), Palanpur in Banaskantha, Navsari received 28 mm (1.10 inch), Jalalpore received 28 mm (1.10 inch), Dahod received 27 mm (1.06 inch) and Mahwa in Bhavnagar received 26 mm (1.02 inch) of rain.
Today, 13 talukas of the state have received more than 1 inch of rain throughout the day. While 12 talukas received significant rainfall during the two-hour period from 4 pm to 6 pm. The highest rainfall of 34 mm (1.34 inches) was recorded in Garudeshwar of Narmada district. Apart from this, 16 mm rain was recorded in Surat city, 13 mm in Savarkundla of Amreli. Also, 10 mm rain was recorded in Netrang of Bharuch.
