Due to the activation of the depression and monsoon trough over the Bay of Bengal and Jharkhand-Bihar, dense clouds have formed over North, Central, East and North-East India. According to meteorologists, during this period, there is a serious possibility of strong gusty winds at a speed of 60 to 75 kilometers per hour and lightning accompanied by strong thunder in many areas.
Condition of Delhi-NCR and plain areas
A new round of monsoon rains is starting in the capital Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad. The Meteorological Department estimates that intermittent moderate to heavy rains will be recorded in Delhi-NCR, which will provide relief from the sultry heat, but may increase the problem of waterlogging and traffic jams in low-lying areas and major roads. There is a danger of heavy rains along with thunderstorms in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Purnia and Muzaffarpur of Bihar. Due to the active cyclonic pressure over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, extremely heavy rainfall may occur over many divisions in the next 48 to 72 hours.

The weather remains most sensitive in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Warning of extremely heavy spells has been issued in Dehradun, Nainital, Tehri, Pauri, Bageshwar, Shimla, Kullu and Mandi. Due to continuous torrential rains in the mountains, the danger of flash floods has increased due to landslides, rock slides and swelling of mountain rivers. The local administration has advised travelers and tourists traveling on Chardham Yatra and mountain routes to be extremely cautious and avoid unnecessary travel.

The intensity of monsoon rains will also remain in West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura. Coastal states of South India like Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Konkan region of Maharashtra are also likely to receive heavy rain along with strong coastal winds. A strict warning has been issued to fishermen not to go into the sea.
