Monsoon has once again returned in its full glory in Jharkhand and the weather pattern of the state has completely changed. These days, clouds have spread across the sky in all the districts of the state including the capital Ranchi, which has brought great relief to the people from the sultry heat. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high alert of torrential rain in all 24 districts of the state. Especially on 13th and 14th August, the activity of clouds is likely to increase further, due to which there are full chances of heavy rains in various parts of the state during these two days.
Clouds will rain heavily in these areas including Ranchi and Palamu.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Center, monsoon activities have intensified due to the formation of low pressure area in almost all the areas of Jharkhand. Heavy rain with thunder is forecast in the capital Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro as well as in districts like Garhwa, Chatra and Latehar of Palamu division. The Meteorological Department has warned that during the next 48 hours i.e. on 13th and 14th August, there may be heavy to very heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds at some places, regarding which both the administration and the general public have been advised to remain alert.
Farmers have happy faces, administration issues warning
This season is no less than a boon for the farmers of Jharkhand, who have been waiting for rain for a long time, because this heavy rain will give a tremendous boost to paddy transplantation and other agricultural works. However, on the other hand, in view of the possibility of waterlogging in low-lying areas and rise in the water level of rivers due to continuous rains, the district administration has also become fully prepared. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the common citizens to stay in safe places during bad weather and avoid standing under trees or electric poles to avoid any untoward incident.
