Jammu, 9 December (Hindustan Reporter). Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with NSS units of GGM Science College concluded the week long AIDS Awareness Week with the closing ceremony held at the conference hall of the college. Principal Prof. was present as the chief guest in this program. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta were present who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participants in raising awareness about HIV/AIDS.
The awareness week featured a number of activities aimed at educating students and the community about HIV/AIDS prevention, reducing stigma, and promoting a supportive environment. The poster making competition encouraged students to showcase their creativity by designing impactful visuals that highlight important messages about HIV/AIDS awareness and reducing stigma. A speech competition provided a platform for participants to express their views and knowledge on the importance of HIV/AIDS education and acceptance. In the awareness rally organized by NSS volunteers and Red Ribbon Club members, students marched through the campus and surrounding areas carrying banners and slogans and spread awareness among the people. Apart from this, a human chain was organized to symbolize unity and solidarity in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The winners of the poster-making and speech competitions were awarded certificates of appreciation while all the participants were given participation certificates.
