Cleanliness message of Katihar Railway Division: Hundreds of railway workers participated in Cyclothon | News India

Katihar, 30 September (Hindustan Reporter). Cyclothon was organized on Monday under the Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2024 in Katihar Railway Division. DRM Surendra Kumar inaugurated it and ADRM Manoj Kumar Singh also participated in it. Hundreds of railway employees from all departments of the Railways participated in this cyclothon, wearing T-shirts and caps with the same cleanliness message.

The cyclothon started from Katihar station, went to IPG Mall in Dalan and then ended back at the station. Caps were made at many places on this 18 kilometer route, where there were arrangements for water and juice. Representatives of RPF and Scouts and Guides were present at every cap. Apart from this, the Railway Administration in collaboration with RPF had installed red tape and barricading at many crowded places and main routes.

A spectacular musical program was organized to inaugurate the Cyclothon, in which Railway artiste Santosh Bedi and women artistes participated. Members of Bhagwati Mahila Mandal also presented devotional songs.

DRM Surendra Kumar said that the objective of Cyclothon is to promote physical health as well as spread awareness towards keeping the station, city and country clean. ADRM Manoj Kumar Singh appealed to the people to take the message of cleanliness to every home and contribute in making the society clean and green.

In the Cyclothon, Constable Naveen Kumar of Katihar RPF East Post stood first, while Technician Forest Santosh Kumar of Mechanical Department stood second and RPF Constable Sushil Kumar Yadav of Crime Cell of Security Department of DRM office stood third. DRM Surendra Kumar honored him by giving him different medals.

On this occasion, hundreds of people including DRM Surendra Kumar, ADRM Manoj Kumar Singh, Senior DCM Dheeraj Chandra Kalita were present. Ritesh Thakur did the work of conducting the stage, while the vote of thanks was given by APO Anjani Kumar.
