Samastipur, 02 October (HS). Swachh Bharat Diwas was celebrated in a grand manner in Municipal Council Tajpur on the birthday of Gandhiji. On October 2, at 6 am, a cleanliness marathon was organized for the first time in Tajpur in which about 1200 participants participated. Also about 2000 people were sent to LKVD together. Executive Officer Mr. Sachin Kumar administered the cleanliness oath in the college grounds.
The program was inaugurated by jointly cutting the ribbon by Chief Councilor Anita Kumari and Deputy Chief Councilor Poonam Devi. After this, the children of government schools formed a human chain on the map of India and also made people aware by carrying posters with the message of cleanliness is service, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Jal Jeevan Hariyali.

The winners of various competitions conducted during the Swachhta Pakhwada were also honoured. Saint Mary Tajpur got the first prize in dance, DPS Tajpur in drama, Higher Middle School Motipur Boys in group song and Saint Mary Tajpur got the first prize for best discipline.
This event was organized in a very grand manner due to which a good message has been sent to the entire Tajpur. On the occasion of this program, Sanitation Officer Mithun Kumar, various ward councilors, Santosh Chaudhary, Aniket Kumar Anshu, media colleagues and other dignitaries were present.
