Cleanliness is Service- 2024 organised in Katihar Railway Division | News India

Katihar, September 19 (HS). Katihar Railway Division has organized Swachhata Hi Seva- 2024 from 17 September to 02 October to make cleanliness a mass movement under the “Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat” mission. Under this program, a Prabhat Ferry was taken out under the chairmanship of DRM Surendra Kumar, in which the railway premises were visited.

DRM said that during this period, attention will be paid to cleanliness in station premises and trains, cleanliness of water booths and quality of drinking water. Apart from this, with the help of NGOs and charitable organizations, various programs will be organized to create awareness about cleanliness among the common people.

DRM appealed to all the people to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness in the railway area. The railway administration is also running continuous awareness campaigns for this. He said that during the Swachhata Hi Seva program, the railway employees will show their commitment towards cleanliness.

DRM Surendra Kumar along with ADRM Manoj Kumar Singh, Senior DFM Ajit Kumar Mishra, Senior DCM Dheeraj Chandra Kalita, Senior DPO Arun Kumar Adalkhah, RPF Commandant Kamal Singh, APO Anjani Kumar along with all the railway officials and a large number of RPF, Scout and Guide and railway personnel participated in the organised Prabhat Ferry.

On this occasion, DRM said that through the Swachhata Hi Seva program, we want to make people aware about cleanliness. He said that cleanliness is our collective responsibility and we have to maintain it together.

During the programme, the railway personnel showed their commitment towards cleanliness and informed the people about the importance of cleanliness. Apart from this, a special cleanliness drive was also organised in the railway station premises.

Under the Swachhata Hi Seva program, awareness programs will be organized in railway hospitals and schools. Apart from this, railway employees were called upon to show their commitment towards cleanliness along with their families.
