Cleanliness fortnight inaugurated at GGM Science College, Nature Vandana Mahotsav celebrated | News India

Jammu, September 2 (HS). GGM Science College led by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta has launched Swachhta Pakhwada and Prakriti Vandana initiative which is an important step towards increasing cleanliness and environmental awareness. Addressing the students on the occasion, Prof. Gupta emphasized the important role of cleanliness in maintaining a positive and safe campus environment. He highlighted that cleanliness is integral not only for hygiene but also for promoting a culture of respect and responsibility within the college community.

NSS Programme Officers Dr. Rahul Kait and Dr. Neha Sharma played a central role in the Swachhata Pakhwada, underlining its importance and the crucial contribution of NSS volunteers. They stressed that these volunteers are essential in executing the initiative, providing immediate assistance and addressing any concerns related to cleanliness and campus welfare.

The event also included Prakriti Vandana which is a celebration of nature and its conservation. Professors Dr. Aarti Sharma, Prof. Kiran Bala, Dr. Nisha Salathia and Dr. Amit Bali discussed the cultural and environmental significance of worshipping trees. They explained in detail how such practices are rooted in tradition and contribute to environmental conservation.
