During the cleaning of Mount Everest, the Nepali Army found four human bodies and a skeleton. These bodies belong to the climbers who climbed Everest and became victims of accidents. The cleanliness drive was carried out in the areas of Mount Lhotse and Mount Nuptse near Mount Everest. The Nepali Army said in a statement that the purpose of the cleaning was to protect the Himalayas from pollution and protect the sensitive highland areas from pollution. In this era of climate change, pollution in the mountains has become a big problem.

This campaign was started two months ago

When the Nepal Army started this cleaning campaign two months ago on April 11, the target was to bring 10 tonnes of garbage from the Himalayas. This operation was started by a 12-member team led by Major Aditya Karki of the Nepal Army and an 18-member Sherpa team was with them to assist the army team. Nepal Army Chief Prabhu Ram Sharma congratulated the team for carrying out the cleaning campaign on Everest. A program was organized in their honor at the conclusion of the team's 55-day campaign. During this, the team involved in the campaign was also honored.

The aim of this campaign is to save Mount Everest from pollution

The operation was conducted by the Nepal Army in collaboration with the Ministry of Forests, Department of Tourism and the Mountaineering Association of Nepal. Over the past four years, Everest clean-up operations have recovered the bodies of 120 climbers and 180 metric tonnes.
