Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the notification of Common Law Admission Test i.e. CLAT 2027. This is an important milestone for candidates dreaming of getting admission into 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and 1-year LLM (PG) courses in more than 24 National Law Universities of the country. After the recent meeting of the Governing Body, it has been made clear that no changes have been made in the syllabus and exam pattern of CLAT 2027.

CLAT 2027: Important Dates and Schedule

CLAT UG 2027: Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

CLAT UG Exam Offline pen-and-paper mode (OMR based) Will be held in. The entire question paper will have a total of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) which will be given in 120 minutes (2 hours) to solve.

• For correct answer: +1 point

• For wrong answer (Negative Marking): -0.25 marks will be deducted

• Skipped questions: 0 points

Section-wise division of marks (Approx. Weightage)

1. English Language: 22-26 questions (about 20% weightage)

2. Current Affairs & General Knowledge: 28-32 questions (about 25% weightage)

3. Legal Reasoning: 28-32 questions (about 25% weightage)

4. Logical Reasoning: 22-26 questions (about 20% weightage)

5. Quantitative Techniques (Class 10th Maths): 10-14 questions (about 10% weightage)

CLAT PG 2027: Pattern and subjects of LLM

The CLAT PG exam to be conducted for admission to Master of Law (LLM) will also be of 120 marks and 120 questions. In this, passage-based questions will be asked mainly from major law subjects.

• Main topics: Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Property Law, Public International Law and Environmental Law etc.

CLAT 2027: How to apply? (Step-by-Step)

1. First official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in Go to.

2. Register using your mobile number and email ID.

3. After OTP verification, log in to your account.

4. Enter your personal, academic information and exam center preferences.

5. Upload photograph, signature and category certificate (if applicable).

6. Submit the form by paying the prescribed application fee online (General/OBC: ₹4,000 | SC/ST/BPL/PwD: ₹3,500).
