New Delhi: In Delhi, a Class 8 student was allegedly beaten up by his seniors and a stick was inserted into his private parts by one of his classmates. After this incident, massive protests started in East Delhi on Saturday. According to the FIR, the incident took place on March 18 when the 14-year-old student was surrounded and brutally beaten by his classmate and his senior friends. The Class 8 student said he was threatened by his schoolmates not to tell anyone about the incident, otherwise his sister studying in the same school would suffer harm. The victim's family suspects that more students may be involved in the attack.
According to a report in India Today, the victim had a fight with his classmate on March 13 and the accused attacked him on March 18. The victim initially did not tell anyone about the incident because he feared retaliation. On March 20, he complained of stomach pain and was taken to the nearest doctor. However, the victim's condition did not improve and he had to be taken to hospital and operated on on March 28.
The doctors at the hospital told the family that the child might have become a victim of some untoward incident. When the boy regained consciousness on April 2, he narrated the entire incident to his family, after which a complaint was lodged with the police.
The medical report revealed that the victim had suffered serious injury due to the insertion of a foreign object, specifically a wooden stick, into his anal area.
However, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Apoorva Gupta told news agency PTI that the incident took place on the premises of a private school on April 2. Following the incident, the victim's parents and relatives protested outside the school on April 3 demanding action.
