Doda Terrorist Attack: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in a forest area of ​​Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday night. In which 4 Indian Army soldiers including an army officer were seriously injured. The officer said that the injured were taken to the hospital in critical condition, where they later died.

It is being told that the soldiers of the National Rifles and the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police laid a joint siege at Dhari Gote Urarbagi in the Desa forest area at around 7.45 pm. After which the search operation started, after which the encounter started.

Four army personnel, including an officer and a police constable, were injured in the firing that lasted for more than 20 minutes. The injured were taken to a hospital, where their condition remains critical. The army said additional troops have been sent to the area and the operation is underway. Officials said the operation was launched after receiving information about the presence of terrorists.

A police spokesperson confirmed the exchange of fire between security forces and militants in the Desa forest area. Based on specific intelligence, a joint operation was being carried out by the Indian Army and JKP in the northern region of Doda. Contact was established with the militants at around 21:00 hrs on 15 July, following which heavy firing took place. The Army's 16th Corps, also known as the White Knight Corps, posted on Twitter (formerly Twitter) that military forces have been sent to the area. The operation is ongoing.

Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed several terror attacks in recent months. Terrorists targeted four places in the region's Kathua, Doda, Reasi and Udhampur districts, killing 15 people, including nine pilgrims and six security personnel, while injuring 46 others.
