Udaipur: The tension over property between the former royal family of Udaipur, Rajasthan is now being seen on the streets. Now there are two groups in this family, on Tuesday there was stone pelting between these two groups outside the famous City Palace here, in which three people were injured. After the symbolic coronation of BJP MLA from Chittorgarh Nathdwar and former royal family member Vishwaraj Singh Mewar, he tried to go to the City Palace. However, he was not allowed to enter Mewar by his uncle Arvind Singh, which greatly disappointed the supporters of Vishvaraj Singh.
Presently BJP’s Nathdwara MLA Vishvaraj Singh Mewar performed his coronation ceremony, after the ceremony was over he tried to enter Udaipur City Palace. However, he was stopped by Arvind Singh Mewar, who owned the City Palace. Vishvaraj Singh and his supporters got enraged at this and tried to enter forcibly. However, when the gate was opened his supporters started pelting stones. Later, supporters of Arvind Singh, who had captured the City Palace, also started attacking from the front. Three people were injured in this face-to-face attack.
After the incident, Vishvaraj Singh said that the ritual is being stopped. While the coronation ceremony is part of a 452-year-old tradition, Udaipur City Palace said Vishvaraj Singh was prevented from entering due to lack of a trustee and security reasons. Udaipur Police says that they have tried to convince Vishvaraj Singh and his supporters and the matter has calmed down at the moment. There has been a dispute regarding property between the former royal family of Udaipur for years. This dispute is going on between the two sons of Bhagwat Singh Mewar, Mahendra Singh Mewar and Arvind Singh Mewar. Mahendra Singh passed away recently and now his son Vishvaraj Singh is claiming the property. Whereas Arvind Singh Mewar City Palace and some other properties have been acquired in the court on the basis of the will of Bhagwat Singh Mewar.
