One of the victims, Tania Soni, is a student from Telangana. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I would like to warn the Telangana CMO. He said that among the dead was Tania Soni, a 25-year-old girl from Secunderabad. Soon Soni's father Vijay Kumar was contacted on phone. He expressed deep condolences to the family.

Unable to go anywhere, the students drowned and died. So fellow students called Dial 100. Police said that after receiving the information at 7 pm, they called the NDRF. The bodies of the three students were taken out late at night. The other 14 students were rescued. The biometric gate of the basement library got jammed due to power cut in the building on Saturday night. The students are trapped in the library in the dark. Initially, the gate was closed so that the water did not reach the base staircase. As time passed, the gate broke due to a slight increase in water pressure. Within a few minutes, the basement started filling with water rapidly.

Eyewitnesses said it was difficult to climb the stairs because The basement flooding, which was filled within two minutes was fast. Soon the water reached the knees. So the students stood on the benches. In just 2-3 minutes, the entire base was filled with 10-12 feet of water. Later, ropes were thrown to save the students but the ropes were not visible due to the dirty water. Other students say that the students drowned and died of suffocation. The bodies of the dead students were taken out and their details were collected. They have been identified as Tania Soni (25) from Telangana, Shreya Yadav (25) from Uttar Pradesh and Navin Dalvin (28) from Kerala.

Soni's parents have already reached New Delhi to bring their daughter's body to Mancharya.

The police has intensified the investigation into the death of civil service candidates. Coaching owner Abhishek Gupta and coordinator Deshpal Singh were arrested. Both were produced in a Delhi court on Sunday evening. Delhi LG VK Saxena has asked the divisional commissioner to submit a report by Tuesday. Also, Delhi Revenue Minister Atishi has ordered Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to start an investigation into the incident and submit a report within 24 hours.
