
The special team of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is investigating irregularities and rigging in the prestigious examinations of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), has achieved a major success. Taking quick and secret action, CID has arrested two vicious accused including the operator of a major coaching institute located at Ratu Road in the capital Ranchi. The arrested accused include Sanjeet Kumar (38 years), resident of Sukhdev Nagar police station area of Ranchi and director of ‘Siyaram Coaching’, and Dilip Kumar Paswan (41 years), resident of Jamui, Bihar. Sending both the accused to judicial custody, CID is now busy in unraveling the layers of this entire interstate examination mafia network.
According to the official details released by CID, the arrested accused have been found involved in giving unfair advantage in different major competitive examinations and paper leak syndicate. Accused Sanjeet Kumar was the accused named in CID police station case number 16/2026 registered in connection with the 14th JPSC competitive examination. He was working as a broker and middleman under the guise of running coaching in Ranchi and was extorting huge amounts of money from the candidates on the pretext of passing them. Whereas, the second accused Dilip Kumar Paswan was wanted in CID police station case number 01/2025 related to JSSC-CGL examination, who had massively rigged the entire process by giving unfair benefits to many candidates in the examination.
CID investigation has revealed shockingly that examination mafias had made deals worth lakhs of rupees per seat with the candidates in the name of passing the prestigious civil and administrative services examinations like JPSC and JSSC. Coaching operator Sanjeet Kumar used to trap the bright and simple students coming under his coaching in this illegal trap by luring them with the promise of getting government jobs. During the preliminary interrogation of the CID, the accused have revealed the names of many big white collar leaders, officers and leaders of the interstate paper leak gang, for whose arrest the CID team is conducting rapid raids at various locations in Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal.
It is noteworthy that after the news of continuous rigging, irregularities and paper leaks in the JPSC and JSSC examinations, thousands of competitive students from across the state had come out on the streets.
