Ingredients for Churma Laddu

Wheat flour – 500 grams
Ghee – half a cup
Ghee for frying – 300 grams
Jaggery – 250 grams
Warm water – 3/4 cup
Nutmeg and cardamom powder – half a teaspoon poppy seeds
as per taste

How to make Churma Laddu

– First of all, take wheat flour in a big bowl and add ghee to it and knead it well. When the ghee is well absorbed in the flour, add hot water slowly and knead a hard dough. – When the dough is ready, make small handfuls of it and keep it aside for 15 minutes by covering it with a wet cloth. – Now heat ghee in a pan. – When the ghee is hot, fry a handful of prepared flour in it on low flame.

– Cool the prepared muthia and cut it into pieces and grind it in the mixer. -The batter for the laddu will be ready. – Take out the prepared churma in a bowl and keep it aside. – Now heat ghee in another vessel. – After the ghee is heated, add jaggery to it and keep stirring slowly until the jaggery melts. Do not overcook the jaggery. When the jaggery melts, add some water and add the jaggery to the churma mixture. Also add nutmeg and cardamom powder to it, if you want to add dry fruits in the laddu, then add it at this stage. Then slowly mix all the things. When the churma cools down a bit, make small laddus from it. – Spread poppy seeds on the prepared ladle and offer it to Ganpati Bappa.
