Itanagar: China's disturbance continues on the Indian border, China is building a big dam near the border of Arunachal Pradesh, about which BJP MLA Ninong Ering himself has expressed concern. He said that there is a danger of flood in Arunachal Pradesh due to this huge dam being built by China, so the construction of this dam should be stopped immediately and India should raise this matter with China.

China is building this huge dam with a power generation capacity of 60,000 MW on the Yarlung Tsangpo River at Madog near the international border. The Tsangpo River is known as Siang in Arunachal Pradesh and Brahmaputra River in Assam. The main stream of this river enters Bangladesh before joining the Bay of Bengal and is also known as Jamuna. In such a situation, if this dam is built by China, it can affect many areas of India and there is a possibility of huge losses if flood situation arises.

Former Union Minister and MLA Iring, while addressing the House on the motion of thanks presented on the Governor's address in the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly, said that we cannot trust our neighbor (China), China can divert the entire flow of the river and build a dam in the Siang drought situation or it can release water and increase the amount of water in the flowing stream of the river, which can cause flood situation. So there is a danger of both flood and drought from this dam, it can affect not only India but also Bangladesh. The former Minister of State for Minority Affairs said that the security of the country cannot be compromised, our goal should be the nation first, we should think about the security of the country. India should raise the issue of this dam with China.
