Beijing, 30 October (Hindustan Reporter). China today successfully sent three astronauts on a six-month mission to its space station. This team includes China's first female space engineer Wang Yanan, besides mission commanders Captain Cai Shuzhe and Song Lingdong.
According to China's state newspaper Global Times, the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft was launched from the Jiuquan Space Launch Center in northwest China in the early morning on a Long March-2F rocket. About 10 minutes after this launch, Shenzhou-19 separated from the rocket and entered the designated orbit.
China's Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced that the crew members were in good condition and that the launch was a complete success.
It is noteworthy that some time ago China was thrown out of the International Space Station due to the fear that the People's Liberation Army (PLA) operates its space program. After this, China has established its own space station. It is currently the only country which has its own space station. China had announced future space programs this month. Wang Yanan, editor in chief of Beijing-based Aerospace Knowledge magazine, stressed that the Shenzhou-19 mission is unique. This has significance for future habitation on the Moon.
