The entire year of 2024 was filled with Russia-Ukraine war and Israel-Hamas war and then Israel-Lebanon war. According to a report published in America, China’s nuclear power has increased manifold in the year 2024.
According to Pentagon report, China is increasing its nuclear power. The report also said that China has increased its aggression towards Taiwan. In the past year, China and Russia have emerged as close allies. As of May, China had about 600 nuclear weapons. By 2030 this figure will exceed 1,000.
Responding to this US report, China has said that it adopts nuclear policy for self-defense. China has always pursued a policy of non-first aggression and has always kept its nuclear capabilities at the minimum level necessary for national security. A Chinese Embassy spokesperson said the Pentagon’s report is full of Cold War mentality, which China opposes.
