Bhagalpur, September 9 (HS). Children and parents of Upkramit Uchch Vidyalaya Mahadev Tikar situated in Pirpainti block of the district locked the school on Monday. It is noteworthy that the school was locked due to the road leading to the school. Students face a lot of problems in going to school due to lack of road. Many students fall into pits and get injured. The road was closed by the farm owner and the children were abused indecently.
The children said that the school will remain closed until the problem is resolved. It is worth mentioning that former MLA Ram Vilas Paswan had also raised his voice two to three times in the assembly regarding the school path. Still, no solution was found. There are about a thousand children from class one to twelfth in the school. While there are only 18 teachers.
Headmaster Jawahar Lal Singh said that the students and villagers locked the school. The students said that the school will remain closed indefinitely until a road is found. The headmaster has submitted a memorandum to the Block Education Officer, BDO and Circle Officer regarding the solution to the road and to ensure that the children do not face any problems in their studies.
