Children could not solve math problems, angry CDO asked for clarification from BEO

With the aim of further improving the education system, CDO Abhishek Kumar reached Sanvilyan Vidyalaya Chhauch on Monday for a surprise inspection. CDO Abhishek Kumar noticed that the teacher was teaching Hindi subject to the children of class seven. When asked by the CDO, student Shubhi gave the correct answer about the meaning of the synonym. Students Jubril and Atharva were made to read a Hindi book, but they could not read it properly. Expressed deep displeasure over this. When the CDO went to the classes of classes 6, 7 and 8 respectively and got the children to solve the mathematics problems, the children could not solve the problems satisfactorily.

Expressing strong displeasure, CDO Abhishek Kumar directed in-charge headmistress and mathematics teacher Geeta Rani and assistant teacher/Hindi subject teacher Manjula Baranwal to give adverse entry, withhold salary till further orders and also issued notice to them.

Along with giving the knowledge of mathematics to the children and the teacher, the CDO explained to the teacher about easy and interesting methods of teaching the subject of mathematics. During the inspection, expressed deep dissatisfaction with the cleanliness in the school. Cautioning for the future, he said that if this is repeated, strict action will be taken. He also checked the functionality of the toilet. During inspection, the sports material of the school was seen gathering dust. Strongly reprimanded on this.

He said that in compliance with the instructions, the DM, in the educational interest of the children, should compulsorily revise the lessons taught after three days of study, so that the students can assimilate the taught material deeply. Instructions were given to increase the efficiency of students through peer learning. In the mid-day meal, roti and vegetables were prepared by the cook as per the menu.

Primary section got better, teacher praised, distributed chocolates to children and even caressed them.

The quality of education got better in the primary section of Sanvilyan Vidyalaya Chhauch. Teacher Sitashu Verma was found teaching in class one. On being asked by the CDO, student Anuradha counted and Saima got success by counting six. The CDO also distributed sweets and chocolates to the children.
