Mirzapur, 09 November (HS). A child playing outside the house died of snake bite on Friday night in Thotha village of Halia police station area. The mother also became unconscious while breastfeeding the child, who was treated at the local health centre.
Akash, two and a half year old son of Ajay Kumar, resident of Thotha village, was playing outside the house on Friday night. During that time a poisonous snake bit him. Seeing the child crying, his mother started breastfeeding him and she also became unconscious. Village head Ramesh Yadav, who reached the information, took both of them in a private vehicle to the Primary Health Center, Haliya, where the doctor declared the child dead during the examination. After the treatment, the child's mother Ranjana is fine.
On the information of the doctor, Haliya police station reached the health center and took possession of the body of the dead child and started taking legal action.
