Patna, 30 November (HS). Bihar Assembly elections are going to be held in the month of October-November 2025. Regarding this, all the political parties have started preparations at their respective levels. In this series, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also go out to probe the hearts of the public on the pretext of Mahila Samvad Yatra from mid-December.
During his visit, the CM will also assess the social impact and political benefits of the schemes launched by the state government in the past years. This visit can prove to be a trump card for the NDA alliance in the 2025 assembly elections.
Women voters are considered to have a major role in Nitish Kumar’s continuous success in Bihar since 2005. Nitish also started many schemes like women reservation, cycle scheme, Jeevika Didi, Asha Didi, incentive amount after girl education, prohibition, which benefited lakhs of women. In political circles, women MLAs of every party of Bihar are also keeping an eye on this visit of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
On the visit of Chief Minister Nitish, BJP MLA and State Animal and Fisheries Resources Minister Renu Devi said that this visit of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be beneficial for the National Democratic Alliance. Assembly elections in Bihar will be fought under his leadership. Work has been done to empower women in the state.
JDU’s Reena Yadav said that if anyone has made women fearless in Bihar, it is Nitish Kumar. The Chief Minister has promoted women. Women were given 50 percent reservation in Panchayat. Gave 35 percent employment in government employment. Worked to provide reservation in police recruitment. His Mahila Samvad Yatra will help in making them more aware.
Talking about the Chief Minister’s Mahila Samvad Yatra, senior journalist Praveen Baghi said that through the Yatra, the Chief Minister will try to highlight the work done by him among the women. He will go among the women and tell them about the employment and other work done by the Bihar government in recent times, which will prove to be a game changer in the 2025 elections. If there is any resentment in the minds of women, or if women want any big change, then Nitish can make a big change in his favor by issuing it on a war footing in the next few months.
What is Mahila Samvad Yatra?
Among the 9 agendas which were approved in the last cabinet meeting, one of the proposals was for ‘Mahila Samvad Yatra’, which is to pass through the entire Bihar. A total of Rs 226 crore will be spent on this journey. This journey is being considered as a step towards women empowerment. Before this, whether it is a matter of decision regarding liquor ban or job or electoral reservation in Panchayat. Nitish Kumar’s vision is to activate the women force. Women have also been seen adapting to their expectations. Anyway, 48 percent voters in Bihar are women, who can change the outcome of victory or defeat.
