CM Yogi has a deep relationship with Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji
Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji, who was the president of the Ram Mandir Trust, died on 1 August 2003. Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are closely associated with the Ram Mandir movement. Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji was the main architect of the Ram Mandir movement and he agitated for the Ram Mandir several times from 1949 to 1990. Yogi Adityanath's guru Mahant Avedyanath and Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji were close friends. Yogi Adityanath also pays tribute to Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji every year by visiting the Digambar Akhara in Ayodhya on his death anniversary. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also the Mahant of the Gorakhnath Math, in which the initial strategy of the Ram Mandir movement was made. According to experts, three generations of the Gorakhnath Math have been associated with the temple movement. Yogi's guru Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath and Avedyanath's guru Brahmalin Digvijay Nath have made a special contribution to this movement.
Gorakshapeeth has played a major role in the Ram Mandir movement
Whenever the 500 years of struggles and movements for Ram Mandir are mentioned, the role of Gorakshapeeth in Gorakhpur in the last 100 years is also inevitably mentioned. Avedyanath, the Mahant of Gorakshanath Peeth, the guru of Yogi Adityanath, was the main face of the temple movement. He was the President of 'Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagna Samiti'. Mahant Avedyanath had very good relations with Brahmalin Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji of Digambar Akhara. After the demise of Mahant Avedyanath, till the movement continued, Yogi Adityanath also kept sharpening it. He has always been saying that 'Ram Mandir is not an election issue, it is a mission of life for me.' As the head of the UP government, CM Yogi is the architect of widespread change in Ayodhya. The construction of a grand temple at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya and the consecration of the deity there was the last wish of his guru Avedyanath, which he fulfilled.
