Chief Minister Yogi took cognizance of Kannauj road accident

Lucknow, July 15 (HS). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the road accident in Kannauj district. The Chief Minister has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He has also instructed the district administration officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and provide them proper treatment. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Chief Minister Yogi has instructed the district administration officials to reach the spot and expedite the relief work.

It is noteworthy that on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Saurikh police station area, near Salempur village, the driver of a DCM going from Punjab to Firozabad on the second lane of the expressway, Ramandeep dozed off. During this, the DCM went out of control and broke the middle divider and the net attached to it and hit the pickup. A woman and a child travelling in the pickup died in the accident. Eight people have been injured who have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Rajjo, Ramanti, Rajan and Deepak have been referred to Kanpur's Hallet Hospital due to their critical condition in the medical college. The police have sent the bodies for postmortem and started investigating the case. On the other hand, the damaged pickup and DCM have been removed by a crane and parked at the toll plaza.
