Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared the picture of radical change in the health system with the people of the state.

Lucknow, 9 October. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared the story of ‘Healthy-Saksham Uttar Pradesh’ with the people of the state on Friday through his social media account ‘X’. The Chief Minister termed the belief in health security as the new identity of healthy Uttar Pradesh rather than the compulsion of treatment.

UP is setting new standards with One District-One Medical College
CM wrote that with the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the determination of Antyodaya, the double engine BJP government of the state has worked at a decisive pace towards making Uttar Pradesh healthy, capable and self-reliant, leaving behind the poor system of health sector before the year 2017. The biggest proof of this change is that Uttar Pradesh, which was once identified with One District-One Mafia, is today setting new standards in the field of health services with the resolution of One District-One Medical College.

Continuous expansion of treatment facilities
The Chief Minister said that while the number of medical colleges in the state was only 36 in the year 2017, today it has increased to 85. Also, MBBS seats have increased from 4,690 to more than 13,600. On one hand, this has increased the opportunities for medical education for the youth, while on the other hand, the facility of quality treatment near home has expanded for the common people.

The people of the state are free from worrying about the cost of treatment
The Chief Minister wrote that more than 10 crore people of the state covered under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan are today living with better health, respect and dignity, free from the worry of huge expenses for the treatment of serious diseases. From the helplessness of treatment to the confidence of health security, a new identity of healthy Uttar Pradesh has been created.
