Lucknow, July 10 (HS). Mangoes from Uttar Pradesh are reaching the markets of many countries of the world including America. This time, before the Mango Festival, as much mangoes were exported to other countries of the world in the year 2023, the same amount of mangoes have already been exported. This information was given by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing and Agricultural Foreign Trade Export, Dinesh Pratap Singh.
In a press conference at his residence on Kalidas Marg, Horticulture Minister Singh said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the Mango Festival at Avadh Shilp Gram on July 12 at 11 am. More than 700 varieties of mangoes will be exhibited in the Mango Festival. An exhibition of dishes made from mangoes will also be held here. This Mango Festival plays an important role in providing facilities to farmers and exchange of ideas. How can mango gardeners promote their produce and get a fair price. Buyers and sellers sit together in the Mango Festival. The minister said that next year 01 crore bags will be distributed free of cost to mango producing farmers.
The Horticulture Minister said that efforts have been made to ensure good production and quality of mangoes. This year, packing was done on mango fruits. Due to this, mangoes got a good price. Singh said that after the Jewar airport starts functioning, we will be able to easily deliver mangoes to the world markets at low prices through cargo ships. During the Mango Festival, mangoes will be exported to Japan and Dubai.
