Chief Minister will burn Ravana in Morhabadi on 12th

Ranchi, October 11 (Hindustan Reporter) Like every year in the capital Ranchi, this year also preparations for the Ravana Dahan program have been completed by the Punjabi Hindu community. Effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnad will be burnt on the evening of 12th October in Morhabadi ground.

Rajesh Khanna of Punjabi Hindu community said on Friday that this time effigies of Ravana of 65 feet, Kumbhakarna of 60 feet and Meghnad of 55 feet height are being made. He said that this time, what is very special is that Ravana's clothes will be very attractive and will also be waterproof so that there will be no problem in Ravana Dahan even in bad weather or rain.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren will attend the Dussehra and Lanka Dahan program organized by the Punjabi Hindu community at Morhabadi ground as the chief guest. The Chief Minister will burn the effigy of Ravana while Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth will burn the effigy of Kumbhakarna and former minister cum MLA CP Singh Meghnad. Also, firecrackers are coming from Mumbai, who will enthrall people with their fireworks.

On the other hand, this year the effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnath will be burnt at eight major places in Ranchi. Along with Ravana Dahan, fireworks and cultural programs will also be organized at all the eight places. A variety of cultural programs will be presented by local artists. Ravana Dahan will take place in Morhabadi Maidan, Argora, Hundru Maidan, Namkum, Tatisilve, Jhakhatand, Mahadev Tangra, Shalimar Maidan.

SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said on Friday that strict security arrangements have been made for the Ravana Dahan programme. Many guidelines have also been given to the officials regarding traffic arrangements.
