Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai participated in Guru Darshan Mela

Balodabazar, 12 October (Hindus). On Saturday, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai participated in the Guru Darshan Mela organized at Telasi Dham, the birthplace of Baba Guru Ghasidas and the penance place of Sant Amardas of Satnami sect.

He paid obeisance to Guru Gaddi and prayed for the prosperity and progress of the people of Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, Supreme Guru Gaddinshin Asam Das Saheb of Telasi Puri Dham was also present. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Dayal Das Baghel, Tank Ram Verma, MP Janjgir Champa Mrs. Kamlesh Jangde, former MLA Sanam Jagde, Collector Deepak Soni SP Vijay Aggarwal and a large number of others were present. Rajmahant, saints and devotees were present.

Historical importance of Telasipuri

Village Telasi is situated on the Bhaisa to Arang road, about 40 kilometers away from the district headquarters Balodabazar. Where the work place of Baba Guru Ghasidas and the penance place of Sant Amar Das of Satnami sect, which is also called Telasi Bada by the local people. This is an important religious place for the people of Satnam sect. Around 1840, Telasi Bada was built by Balak Das, the second son of Guru Ghasidas and he continued to live in Telasi Bada. After the death of Guru Balak Das, in 1911, 273 acres of land along with Telasi near Ganeshmal was taken over by mortgage, for which 103 people of the society led by the supreme Guru of the society Askaran Das and Rajmahant Nain Das Kurre were jailed.
