Chandigarh, March 6 (HS). Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the Haryana Government has launched a portal for the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme to enable the devotees to visit Ayodhya, Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara, Patna Sahib Gurudwara, Kashi-Vishwanath. The devotees registered on this portal will be provided free travel by the government. So far, around 700 devotees have registered themselves on the portal.

The Chief Minister was talking to the media after flagging off the bus of pilgrims going from Karnal to Ayodhya for the darshan of Lord Shri Ram Lalla under the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme in Karnal on Wednesday. Manohar Lal said that the pilgrims registered on the portal will be given darshan of Ayodhya, Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara, Patna Sahib Gurudwara, Kashi-Vishwanath temples. Apart from this, we will also gradually open portals for other pilgrimage places so that more pilgrims who wish to visit other pilgrimage places in the country can register themselves. Currently, this facility is being provided free of cost for registration to people with annual income less than Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand and above 60 years of age. But there is a request from many people that other people should also be given some facilities under this scheme by charging some fare amount or fees etc., because going collectively has its own pleasure, this is being considered.

The Chief Minister said that there was a 500-year-old struggle to build a temple in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, but ultimately on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the country proud by consecrating Shri Ram Lalla. People wanted to go to Ayodhya and visit the Ram temple, hence the Haryana government announced the Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Scheme in a planned manner, which was inaugurated from the holy land of Karnal on Wednesday.

It is noteworthy that about 52 pilgrims were sent to Ayodhya in the first bus. The night stay of these pilgrims has been done in Lucknow, where their refreshments and food have been arranged and after having darshan of Shri Ram Lala in Ayodhya, there will be a night stay in Lucknow again on their return. These pilgrims will return to Karnal on March 8. Similarly, buses can be booked from different places and in case of large numbers, trains can also be booked.

On this occasion, MP Sanjay Bhatia, Gharaunda MLA Harvindra Kalyan, Indri MLA Ram Kumar Kashyap, Director General of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department Mandeep Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner Anish Yadav and other dignitaries were present.
