Chief Minister Sai paid tribute to martyred soldier Bharat Sahu in Naxalite attack

Raipur, July 19 (HS). Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma paid tribute to Jawan Bharat Sahu who was martyred in the IED blast in Tarrem of Bijapur by offering wreath at the 4th Corps Battalion Raipur located at Mana on Friday.

During this time, the Chief Minister met the family members of the soldier and consoled them. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister shouldered the mortal remains of the martyred soldier and sent it to his residence Saddu with full respect. On this occasion, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, MLA Motilal Sahu, DGP Ashok Juneja and senior police officers were present. During this time, Home Minister Vijay Sharma, Minister Kedar Kashyap, Tankaram Verma, MLA Motilal Sahu and many other leaders also paid their emotional tribute to him.

The last journey of martyr Bharat Lal Sahu started from his house in Laxmi Nagar, Mowa, Raipur this morning. Home Minister Vijay Sharma, Minister Tank Ram Verma participated in this journey on behalf of the state government. A large number of citizens participated in the journey.

During this, Chief Minister Sai said, a Naxal incident took place in Bijapur on 17th July. Two of our soldiers were martyred in this incident. Also, four soldiers were injured. I met the injured soldiers yesterday. All are out of danger. We pay tribute to the martyrdom of the martyred soldiers. Our fight against Naxalites will continue. Naxalites are shrinking in the entire state. Our fight will continue with strength in the coming times as well.

It is noteworthy that martyr Bharat has two daughters and a 2-year-old son. One studies in fifth grade and the other in third. Talking to journalists, the family members said that they had spoken to martyr Bharat Sahu just two days ago. But then no one knew that he would leave everyone like this. They also said that his leave had ended on 1 July. After this, he had left home for duty. But he did not return.
