Chief Minister reached GMCA, held a meeting with officials

Guwahati, June 22 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Guwahati Medical College and Hospital today. He inspected the hospital. He held a meeting with senior officials of the Health Department and officials of Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. In the meeting, various issues related to medical colleges and hospitals were discussed and necessary guidelines were given.

Later addressing a press conference at the hospital auditorium, he highlighted the success of collecting kidneys from donors as per the wishes of the relatives of the deceased at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital and transplanting them into the bodies of two patients.

He expressed satisfaction that childless couples have been able to bring smiles on their faces by having children at the IVF centre here. The Chief Minister praised the doctors and staff involved in this success.
