Lucknow, 22 October (HS). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects worth Rs 1,147 crore at Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Advanced Pediatric Centre, Saloni Heart Center and Night Basera. Apart from this, the Chief Minister inaugurated Advanced Diabetes Centre, Tele ICU, Saloni Heart Center (First Phase), hostel of College of Medical Technology.
World class facilities of 200 beds will be available in Saloni Heart Center.
Chief Minister Yogi said that SGPGI is the most prestigious medical institute of the country and the state. In such a situation, the priority of a seriously ill person from Eastern, Western, Central, Bundelkhand and Vindhya regions of the state is to get a bed here, but many problems often arise regarding this. The state government is continuously working to solve this problem.
Under this, the process of construction of 575 beds in Advanced Pediatric Center is being taken forward. Services of 22 departments will be provided here. In this, treatment of diseases including hormones, diabetes, pediatric ICU, emergency pediatric genetics, pediatric neurology and other diseases will be done under one roof. CM Yogi said that the first phase of Saloni Heart Center has started. At the same time, the MoU for the second phase of the center has been signed.
Through this, Saloni Heart Center with world class facilities of 200 beds will provide a happy life to 5 thousand children by performing serious heart related surgeries every year. Besides, it will provide second opinion etc. to ten thousand children every year. For this, we are all grateful to the efforts of Saloni Heart Foundation.
Night shelter attendants will get a full meal for Rs 20
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the process of construction of one thousand bed night shelter has started with ONGC's CSR fund of Rs 51 crore. This will provide great relief to the attendants coming here. Parking and canteen facilities will also be available here where attendants will get a full meal for Rs 15 to 20. At the same time, the construction of College of Medical Technology hostel for 200 students has been completed.
CM Yogi congratulated SGPGI for these schemes before Diwali. All possible help will be provided at the state government level to ensure that the institute moves forward in a time bound manner. The state government is committed to this.
