Saharsa/Supaul, March 02 (HS). Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated Lohia Medical College and Hospital, Supaul at a cost of Rs 603.68 crore in Deenapatti Panchayat of Pipra block on Saturday through video conferencing. Energy Department Bijendra Prasad Yadav presided over the program.
On the occasion, Supaul District Magistrate Kaushal Kumar informed about the benefits that the new medical college and hospital will provide to the residents of the district and the surrounding people. He said that Lohia Medical College and Hospital Supaul is being constructed on a total of 26 acres of land at a cost of Rs 603.68 crore, which includes 150 seats for MBBS, 830 bed hostel for students, arrangement of 630 beds for patients and many other facilities. Facilities will be available. After the completion of the construction work of this hospital, the residents of the district and surrounding areas will not have to go to Patna for better treatment.
