Dehri on Sone, September 2 (His) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several schemes including water supply scheme from the Son river in Dehri, Sasaram, Aurangabad, Center of Excellence in ITI, Anganwadi centers, playground etc. at Dehri on Sone in Rohtas district on Monday evening.
The Chief Minister reached Dehri at 4.10 pm. He laid the foundation stone of the drinking water supply scheme to be built at a cost of Rs 13 billion 47 crores for Dehri, Aurangabad and Sasaram at the local anicut. He inspected the anicut barrage. Senior officials of the Water Resources Department gave detailed information about the water supply scheme to the Chief Minister.
Here water will be stored by repairing the Anicut Barrage built in 1872. A water treatment plant will be set up in Bastipur. From where drinking water will be supplied to the three cities through pipeline using the surface water of Son.
Inaugurated the Center of Excellence built in the local Government Industrial Training Institute. The Center of Excellence built with the help of Tata Technology has been constructed at a cost of about three crores. The students of this ITI will teach through modern technology. Now the students here will get training in Industries 4.0 technology. Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of High School, Anganwadi Bhawan and Library in Bastipur of Panchayat.
He laid the foundation stone for the renovation of 372 Anganwadi centers in the district, construction of 66 library buildings in different blocks, 648 solar lights in different blocks under the Chief Minister Solar Scheme, construction of playgrounds and sports facilities in 17 Anganwadi centers, 21 panchayats. He also inaugurated 13 Anganwadi centers.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, District In-charge Minister Jayant Kumar, Labor Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Singh, Sasaram MP Manoj Kumar, along with several former MPs, MLAs and NDA leaders were present on the occasion.
