Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while interacting virtually with the expatriate people of Uttarakhand living in different countries at the Secretariat on Tuesday, described them as the brand ambassadors of Uttarakhand in foreign countries. The Chief Minister said that the migrant people of Uttarakhand have made their mark outside Uttarakhand in the country and abroad with their hard work, dedication and intellectual capacity. He expected everyone to adopt a village in a remote area of ​​their birthplace and become a partner in its overall development. The state government will also cooperate in this.

The Chief Minister said that earlier a migrant cell was formed for cooperation and assistance to the migrant people of Uttarakhand. Now a board will also be formed to make it more convenient. Also, like Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, a conference of expatriates living in the country and abroad will be organized in the state, so that their thoughts and suggestions can be discussed and reflected upon.

During the dialogue, the Chief Minister heard the views and suggestions of 22 migrant Uttarakhand residents living in 12 countries including Australia, New Zealand, China, America, Japan, Britain, France. All the migrants also assured the Chief Minister of cooperation in the fields of education, health, tourism, information technology etc. in the state. All the migrant people should be excited to connect with their ancestral areas, so that their future generations can also connect with their roots.

Those who gave their suggestions during the dialogue included Surendra Singh Rawat from Australia, Jot Singh Bisht from New Zealand, Dev Raturi from China, Shailesh Upreti from America, Indira Bhatt from Japan, Manish Jugran from UK, Chandra Shekhar Silori from Thailand, Sunil Thapliyal from Singapore. , Uttam Rawat from France, Rakesh Belwan from Oman were the prominent ones.

The Chief Minister said that now the youth of the state are moving towards reverse migration. Paying attention towards self-employment. The state government also has many schemes for this. He said that entrepreneurs from more than 50 countries have participated in the Global Investment Conference organized in the state and have expressed their interest in doing industry and business in the state. Till now grounding of Rs 71 thousand crore has been done. With the establishment of industry in the state, more employment opportunities will be available to the youth.

The Chief Minister said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's respect and honor has increased in the country and the world. Indians are being viewed with respect in foreign countries. Despite the Corona epidemic, the country's economy remained from 11th to 5th.
