Bhopal, June 27 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the pending cases of last year related to scholarship of Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Other Backward Classes should be resolved immediately by making an action plan. Students should not face any problem in getting scholarship. For the convenience of the students, a time limit should be set for verification of scholarship application, registration on the portal and scholarship distribution. District Education Officer, District Public Service Manager and Lead Bank Manager should ensure necessary coordination and run a campaign at the district level, so that students do not face any problem in getting the necessary documents. Along with this, the ineligible students receiving scholarship should be verified educational institution wise.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was reviewing the distribution of scholarships to students at the college and school level on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Krishna Gaur, Chief Secretary Veera Rana were present in the meeting.
There should be arrangements for training for success in competitive examinations
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that simplification of the process of making caste certificate is necessary. The General Administration Department should study the process being made for making caste certificate in other states and take immediate action to simplify the process by forming a task force of other related departments. Along with this, an effective action plan should be made to ensure that students of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes achieve success in all professional and competitive examinations. Necessary training should be provided to the youth of Baiga, Bharia and Saharia tribes to encourage their recruitment in Home Guard and Police.
Approval and distribution of 20 types of scholarships of 6 departments is being done through education portal
It was told in the meeting that 20 types of scholarships of 6 departments are being approved and distributed through the education portal. In the year 2023-24, scholarships worth about Rs 330 crore were distributed to 64 lakh students. In the year 2024-25, 92 lakh nominations have been done so far.
Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Ajit Kesari, KC Gupta, Principal Secretary Rashmi Arun Shami, Dr. E Ramesh Kumar and other officers were present in the meeting.
